About Us ARCADIA HOME products are unique handmade designs created by artisans. From the luxurious fabrics to the couture quality beading, it is the attention to detail and quality that makes ARCADIA HOME designs collectible. Taking a modern approach to classic styles of the past, ARCADIA HOME uses beautiful and enduring materials to produce these heirlooms meant to be cherished from generation to generation. The overriding principal behind the unique qualities and superior craftsmanship of the products is what we call "livable luxury". Arcadia Home products are meant to be lived with, displayed, and enjoyed, not saved behind glass or preserved in boxes. ARCADIA HOME was founded by Dawn Kikel who designs the Heirloom Collections. She launched the company with the Christmas Heirlooms designs in 2002. It is Dawn's vision that the holiday home be adorned with the same attention to detail and beauty during the holidays as throughout the year. "The idea for a holiday collection occurred instinctively," said Dawn. "I was shopping for items to trim my own Christmas tree and accent my home, but simply couldn't find holiday decorations on par with the decorative accessories I already owned. I felt that today's holiday decorations had become too commercial and disposable. Having discovered this void in the market, I set out to produce my own holiday collection, which I hope families will look forward to seeing year after year." Since founding the company, Dawn has launched other product lines and made a commitment to introduce our luxury customer to new eco-friendly materials such as hand felted wool, recycled plastic and recycled cotton. ARCADIA HOME believes that earth friendly materials do not have to be bland and commonplace but can be just as luxurious as our traditional silk designs. The response from our customers and the press has been overwhelmingly positive and we will continue to bring more eco-friendly designs and products to the market.
