Dawn Kikel's ARCADIA HOME was founded in 2001. Our products are unique handmade designs created by artisans. From the luxurious fabrics to the couture quality beading, it is the attention to detail and quality that makes ARCADIA HOME designs collectible. Taking a modern approach to classic styles of the past, ARCADIA HOME uses beautiful and enduring materials to produce these heirlooms meant to be cherished from generation to generation. The overriding principal behind the unique qualities and superior craftsmanship of the products is what we call "livable luxury". ARCADIA HOME products are meant to be lived with, displayed, and enjoyed, not saved behind glass or preserved in boxes.
Since founding the company with the Christmas Heirloom collection, we have launched other product lines and made a commitment to introduce our luxury customer to new eco-friendly materials such as hand felted wool, recycled plastic and recycled cotton. ARCADIA HOME believes that earth friendly materials do not have to be bland and dull looking but can be just as luxurious and exciting as our original hand beaded silk designs. The response from our customers and the press has been extraordinary and we will continue to bring more eco-friendly designs and products to the market.
Recently, ARCADIA HOME was commissioned to create the Christmas tree skirts for the Obama's first Christmas in the White House Residence. We were thrilled to have the opportunity to share our designs with the First Family and created three heirloom tree skirts for them- one in our sustainable hand felted wool and two in our hand beaded silk with recycled glass beading. Simple elegant designs that we hope they will enjoy for years to come. In addition, we had the pleasure of creating the stocking for the First Family's newest member, an adorable Portuguese Water Dog named Bo.
Every year, ARCADIA HOME designs appear in numerous media outlets such as HGTV, O Magazine, Country Living, Lucky, Town and Country, Real Simple and Coastal Living.
